"EPIC for Adolescents," a 12-hour program for parents, will be offered at the Orchard Park Central Schools' Baker Road Administration Building in February.
The program, for parents of children in grades 6 to 8, will be offered Thursday and Feb. 10, 17 and 24, starting at 7 each evening.
The program's purpose is to help develop responsibility, cooperation, courage and self-esteem in children. It uses video-based discussion to help parents learn new skills involving discipline, communication, child development and family enrichment.
The program, developed by Buffalo-based Every Person Influences Children, is free. It is sponsored by the Orchard Park Kiwanis and Orchard Park Central Wellness Committee and with federal drug-free schools grant money.
