MOLDY VILLAGE HALL GETS NEW LOOK

After being chased from their roosts for the past several months because of unhealthy air, officials have moved back into Village Hall.

Employees were forced to leave the building last May when mold began to accumulate beneath the building because of poor drainage.

Clerk-Treasurer Vicki Strong said as a result, she and another employee became sick.

In the meantime, officials moved to the Community Building across the street, and embarked on $20,000 in renovations to Village Hall.

Village Trustee Nedra Anderson said the work has converted the old building, with dark wood paneling and old carpeting, into a bright, inviting work environment.
