MAN INJURED IN BRAWL UPGRADED TO FAIR CONDITION

A Heath Street man was upgraded to fair condition today in Erie County Medical Center, where he is being treated for a fractured skull suffered when he was struck in the head with a hammer by another man during a fight late Saturday, police said.

The victim, Scott Sayles, also suffered a fractured wrist, police said.

When officers arrived at 618 Lisbon Ave. at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, they said they found the suspect choking the victim and had to pull him off.

Ramon Hamilton, 23, of Alma Avenue was charged with assault, possession of a weapon, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration.
