Applications for the Home Energy Assistance Program will be accepted Wednesday in the auditorium of the Philip Sheridan Building, 3200 Elmwood Ave., Town of Tonawanda.
The HEAP Outreach Site will open at 9 a.m., but only a limited number of applications will be processed.
Applicants should bring proof of income for the past month and a heating bill. They also will need to bring proof of all members of the household, such as Social Security cards, and proof of residency, such as rent or mortgage receipt. If a shut-off notice has been received, it should be presented also.

The maximum gross monthly income is as follows: for a one-person household, $1,030; for a family of two, $1,383; three, $1,735; four, $2,088; five, $2,440; six, $2,793; seven, $3,145; and eight, $3,498. For each additional household member, add $353.
