CAR HITS FRONT DOOR OF CONVENIENCE STORE

A Niagara Avenue man escaped injury late Saturday when he inadvertently drove into the front of a convenience store at 1059 Cleveland Ave., police said.

Tedman H. King, 32, told police that he had pulled into a parking spot at the 1 Stop Food Market at about 11 p.m. but struck the building when his foot slipped off the brake and onto the accelerator.

Police Officer Thomas Ewing said that the front door area of the store was damaged, but no further information was available. There were no charges placed in connection with the incident.
