COLLISION CLAIMS WOMAN'S LIFE

A Dunkirk woman lost her life and two others were injured in a two-vehicle collision Saturday afternoon at Route 83 and Farrington Road that sent one of the vehicles off the road and into a barn, and the other one into a 180-degree spin.

One of the drivers, Aimee Jo Setera, 21, of Swan Street, died of head and chest injuries at Brooks Memorial Hospital at 3:43 p.m., said Chautauqua County sheriff's deputies.

A passenger in her vehicle, Andrew Lanski, 13, was being treated at Brooks Hospital for abdominal injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle, Kevin L. Sheldon, 37, of Center Road, Forestville, was treated for a head injury.

After the initial collision, the Setera vehicle spun 180 degrees and landed in the north shoulder of Route 83, facing east. The Sheldon vehicle went off the north side of the road and struck a barn.

The accident, which occurred at 2:33 p.m., closed traffic for two hours.
