B. Raymond Krehl, 85, died unexpectedly Friday (Jan. 28, 2000) in his North Tonawanda home.
A lifelong Buffalo-area resident, Krehl retired in 1978 after 34 years at the Chevrolet Division plant of General Motors Inc. in the Town of Tonawanda. Much of his career was spent as a labor representative, and he also worked as an industrial engineer. Krehl also had worked as a salesman for the Armour Co.
He was a graduate of Masten Park High School and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
An avid traveler, he had visited every state in the nation and also traveled abroad to Europe and the Holy Land.
Krehl enjoyed golf, chess, photography, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, the former Edith M. Betz.
Survivors also include a daughter, Kathy Carr of Hinckley, Minn.; two sons, David of North Tonawanda and Paul of Williamsville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Bethel Baptist Church, 995 Dodge Road, Getzville. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
