Two persons were arrested Friday on welfare fraud-related charges, Chautauqua County sheriff's deputies said.
Gerald L. Parker, 43, was charged with welfare fraud and offering a false instrument for filing. He is accused of filing a false application to obtain public assistance benefits, and receiving $368.
Ruth Carroway, 52, was charged with criminal use of a public benefit card. She is alleged to have transferred her public benefit card to another person for improper use last April.
The addresses for Parker and Carroway were not disclosed. Parker is to appear in Westfield Village Court, while Carroway is to appear in Dunkirk City Court.
