SCHOOL BUS CONTRACTING <br> DOESN'T MEAN BAD SERVICE

As area general manager of Laidlaw, it was with great umbrage that I read the Jan. 23 News article regarding transportation in the Kenmore-Tonawanda School District. The article implied that contracting transportation services with Laidlaw would lower the services provided to the district. On the contrary, the school districts that have chosen Laidlaw receive safe, economical transportation.

At Laidlaw Education Services, we take pride in our professional drivers as well as our selection and training process. We understand that it is not enough to have the most competent, highly trained drivers behind the wheel of the safest, best-maintained school buses. We are partners with over 22 school districts and in Western New York, we employ over 1,000 people. We teach children to travel safely on our buses, utilizing programs in the classroom that are directed by an experienced driver-trainer.

As the largest school bus carrier in the United States, we pride ourselves on being the leading provider of safe, responsive, value-added services.
