U.S. Attorney Denise E. O'Donnell has been appointed to Attorney General Janet Reno's Advisory Committee of United States Attorneys.

O'Donnell, chief law enforcement officer for the 16-county Western New York District, is among eight new members of the panel, which Reno said has "the expertise and perseverance to address the challenging issues before us such as cybercrime, law enforcement in Indian country, Southwest border and immigration issues and environmental concerns."

O'Donnell will be chairwoman of the Advisory Committee's investigation and intelligence subcommittee, and serve on five others: border and immigration law enforcement, civil rights, justice programs, organized crime/violent crime/violence against women and office management and budget.
