Desserts, dancing, casino games and a silent auction will be featured at Cause for Celebration Feb. 26 from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. in the Buffalo State College Sports Complex. The fund-raiser to benefit AIDS Community Services of Western New York will be preceded by approximately 100 private dinner parties at which donations are collected.
An attendance of 4,000 is expected for dancing to the music of Outer Circle from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. and bids will be accepted on works by local artists, including Milton Rogovin, Joseph Piccillo and Enrico Embroli. Gerald C. Mead Jr., exhibits coordinator of Burchfield-Penney Art Center, is auction chairman.
Last year's party raised more than $100,000 for ACS support programs, prevention education and professional training for community educators.
