Louise M. Centofanti, a retired waitress and devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, died Thursday (Jan. 27, 2000) in the Niagara Geriatric Center after a lengthy illness. She was 72.
Miss Centofanti was born in Thomas, W. Va., and came to Niagara Falls with her family as a child. She attended local schools.
She was a waitress at the former Gene's Grill on Pierce Avenue for 25 years, retiring in 1980.
Miss Centofanti was an avid sports fan. In the past, she had enjoyed watching Niagara Falls Municipal League games. She was also a Yankees Baseball fan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Ave., after services at 10 in the M.J. Colucci and Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
