ELEANOR CLARK, FORMER TEACHER WROTE HISTORY BOOKS

Eleanor "Jeanne" Clark, a former elementary and junior high school teacher who also wrote and published history books, died Thursday (Jan. 27, 2000) in Harris Hill Health Care Facility, Williamsville, after a long illness. She was 76.

Miss Clark was born in Niagara Falls.

She received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Buffalo in 1946 and was awarded a master's degree in elementary education in 1951.

Miss Clark taught fifth grade in Youngstown in 1951 and 1952, and then taught seventh grade in Newfane until 1956.

She loved to play tennis and enjoyed reading.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Ave.. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria.
