WOMAN KILLED WHEN CAR <br> IS STRUCK BROADSIDE

A North Tonawanda woman was killed Thursday morning in a two-vehicle, weather-related accident on River Road near Sunset Drive, State Police Investigator Anthony L. Green said.

Donna M. Klinefelter, 48, of Geneva Street, was pronounced dead at the scene by Niagara County Coroner Joseph V. Mantione. She died of internal injuries, according to an autopsy conducted in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda, Mantione said.

The accident occurred at about 8:30 a.m. when Klinefelter, traveling west on River Road, apparently lost control of her car on the icy road. The car crossed into the eastbound lane, spun and was struck broadside on the passenger side by an eastbound sport utility vehicle driven by Frank T. Darrah, 25, of Rainbow Boulevard, Niagara Falls, Green said.

Police said Darrah was not injured.
