Vernon Dwight Chapel, a former Buffalo resident, died Tuesday (Jan. 25, 2000) in Celebration Hospital, Kissimmee, Fla. He was 84.

A native of Shinglehouse, Pa., he was a retired missile technician for Bell Aerospace Textron in Wheatfield. He moved from Buffalo to Kissimmee in 1969.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of Kissimmee; three daughters, Cherie Rezeles of Santa Cruz, Calif., Sandra Wheeler and Karen Haslam; a brother, Orlo; a sister, Marie Winship of Wellsville; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be scheduled.
