An endangered Siberian tiger was poisoned at a wildlife sanctuary by someone who threw spiked chunks of steak into its cage.
The Menagerie Foundation offered a $10,000 reward Thursday for a conviction in the poisoning of the 19-month-old female, named K.D.
She was found sick in her cage Tuesday, weak, lying in vomited blood and surrounded by pieces of meat that had been thrown over the top of her 10-foot cage.
"It takes a sick individual to do something like this," foundation director Gary Leshinsky said.
There are no suspects or motives.
The big cat has nearly recovered from the poisoning, though she continues to receive intravenous fluids because she is not eating.
