MAN DIES OF HEART ATTACK AFTER BEING TIED, ROBBED

A 68-year-old store owner died of a heart attack after being tied uip and robbed by two masked intruders.

Thomas Bertola, 68, owner of Bertola Subs, managed to untie himself after the robbery Wednesday afternoon and called 911. He was then stricken with a heart attack and was pronouced dead in the hospital.

Another man who was robbed and tied up in the store was not injured.

Bertola ran a regular card game, and police were unsure if the assailants intended to rob the store or the card game. The amount of money taken was not disclosed.
