The News story regarding the Sheila Johnson-Moore debacle was a real eye-opener. The Buffalo School District hires an admitted embezzler and, despite three warnings by the feds regarding her criminal past, promotes her to a position where she allegedly replicated her past activities.
Of course, no one knows if the warnings ever reached her file, and, as usual, responsibility is non-existent. Meanwhile, she's collecting full pay while an investigation continues as to the allegations of embezzlement of Title VI grant money.
Regionalization of government responsibilities? I don't think so! The Buffalo political scene is a joke. It reminds me of Sinatra's ballad, "Send in the clowns -- don't bother, they're here!"
