George C. Clark, 76, of North Tonawanda, a retired construction worker, died last Thursday (Jan. 20, 2000) in Millard Fillmore Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Grampian, Pa., he served in the Army in the European Theater during World War II and, among other commendations, earned three Bronze Stars.
Clark moved to the City of Tonawanda in 1947. He worked for National Roofing Co. in the City of Tonawanda until the company folded in the late 1960s. He held several other construction jobs until his retirement in 1989.
Survivors include a son, David of the City of Tonawanda; two brothers, Richard of Amherst and Gerald; and three sisters, Dorothy of Grampion, Mary of Niagara Falls and Jane of Salem, Mass.
A memorial service will be scheduled.
