Thomas P. Roman, formerly of Buffalo, died Thursday (Jan. 20, 2000) in his mother's home in Cape May Court House, N.J., after a long illness. He was 36.
Born in Buffalo, he spent part of his childhood in the Town of Tonawanda and Amherst. As a youngster, he attended Dexter Terrace Elementary School in the Sweet Home Central School District. His family later moved to the Syracuse area before settling in the seaside resort area of Cape May Court House.
For the past 12 years, Roman lived in Atlanta, where he was chief engineer and project manager at Cable News Network and later at Turner Broadcasting Systems.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Barbara A. and Dennis Spata; his father and stepmother, Theodore P. and Ruth; and a brother, Todd, all of Cape May Court House.
A memorial service will be scheduled.
