Paul E. Graves of Fort Erie, Ont., died Thursday (Jan. 20, 2000) in Greater Niagara General Hospital, Fort Erie, after a brief illness. He was 74.
Born in Shongo, Graves lived in Buffalo for 10 years. He also lived in Crescent Park, Ont. A World War II veteran, he was a member of an ordnance division from 1944 to 1946 and served in the occupation army in Tokyo.
For 45 years, he was employed by Spaulding Fibre Co. in the City of Tonawanda. He also was a self-employed carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne; two daughters, Lynn Harlow of Burlington, Ont., and Carol Goodrich of Hamburg; two sons, Paul of Stevensville, Ont., and Alex Vogt of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Maxine of North Tonawanda; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service will be scheduled. Burial will be in Willing.
