Louise Hunt, 71, who worked for 20 years as a cook at the Howard Johnson restaurant on Main Street, died Monday (Jan. 24, 2000) in Harris Hill Nursing Facility, Clarence, after a lengthy illness.
Born Louise Allen in Gantt, Ala., she moved to Niagara Falls in 1950 with her husband, Otis.
She retired in 1973 from the restaurant.
Mrs. Hunt was an active member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Northwest Congregation.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking and taking fishing trips with her husband. He died in 1993.
Survivors include a daughter, Denise Caldwell of Buffalo; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Jehovah's Witnesses Northwest Congregation, 17th Street and Tennessee Avenue. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
