Outdoor site work at the Maryvale school campus in Cheektowaga -- part of a $9.975 million district renovation project approved by voters -- has cost $696,871 to date with an additional $197,005 in change orders requested, architect Charles Moore reported Monday night.

Of the total campus renovation cost, $927,540 is for site work. With expected School Board approval of the change order, $33,664 remains, meaning the project is still under budget, Moore said.

The remainder of the project includes school building renovations.

The site change orders involve widening and resurfacing of entranceways and roadways that include the area in front of Maryvale High School.

Also Monday night, faculty coordinators presented annual reports for the science, social studies, special education/support services, community education and summer recreation departments. Most reports focused on changes being made to meet new state Regents standards. Reports were made by department coordinators Carol Luterek, Jack Yanno, Karen Bauchle, Sue Licata, Dan Conley and Ronald G. Roma, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction.
