MAN JUMPS OVER COUNTER <br> TO ROB CREDIT UNION

A robber jumped over the counter at the Carborundum Niagara Falls Credit Union, 8676 Buffalo Ave., and made off with an undetermined amount of money Monday afternoon, police said.

According to Detective Lt. John Soltys, a man in his early to mid-20s entered the office at 2:06 p.m., jumped over the counter and demanded money. He fled on foot down 87th Street.

Police a short time later recovered the red, white and blue plaid flannel jacket and tan knit cap the robber had worn and attempted to trace his footsteps in the snow, without success. They questioned several neighbors regarding the incident.

The robber was described as about 5 feet 2 inches and roughly 110 pounds, with dirty blond hair. Anyone with information concerning the robbery or the suspect is asked to contact the Detective Bureau at 286-4553.
