LANCASTER SEEKS TO FILL PLANNING BOARD SEATS

The Lancaster Village Board is seeking two residents to come forward to fill a vacant seat and an upcoming vacancy on the village's Planning Board, trustees announced Monday at a regular board meeting.

Board members invite any interested village residents to inquire about or apply for the positions at the village's Broadway offices.

Currently, there is one vacancy on the seven-member board and there will another opening soon, village officials said.

A seat on the planning board carries a term of four years.

The Planning Board is continuing work on the village's downtown revitalization project and site review proceedings for Lancaster's Industrial Park and master plan.

Meanwhile, the board also agreed to set a public hearing for 8:15 p.m. Feb. 14 to solicit comments regarding its proposed regional comprehensive plan.
