Eleanor O. Goodnow, who worked with blueprints at Buffalo Forge during World War II, died Sunday (Jan. 23, 2000) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness. She was 89.
Born Eleanor Schlee in Buffalo, she moved to the Falls in 1961. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Albert N.; a stepdaughter, Mary Ann May of Pompano Beach, Fla.; a brother, Raymond M. Schlee of Hamburg; and a sister, Frances Meyers of the Town of Tonawanda.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2486 Grand Ave., after prayers at 10 in Otto Redanz Funeral Home, 2215 Military Road. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.
