Dorothy J. Hessler, a longtime resident of Cheektowaga and a 40-year employee of Aluminum Co. of America, died Monday (Jan. 24, 2000) in Millard Fillmore Hospital after a brief illness. She was 90.

Born Dorothy Johanna Graf in Buffalo, she worked as a secretary for Alcoa. In 1946, she married George C. Hessler. She retired from Alcoa when he died in 1966.

Mrs. Hessler was a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church in Buffalo and Ascension Lutheran Church in Snyder. She also was a Niagara Lutheran Home volunteer. An avid bridge player, she was a member of a bridge club that met monthly for 50 years.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Ascension Lutheran Church, 4640 Main St., Snyder. Burial will be in Holy Rest Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
