Jacob Hager, formerly of North Tonawanda, a cabinet maker, died Wednesday (Jan. 19, 2000) in Lockport Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born in Durmersheim, Germany, and worked as a cabinet maker at Bennett Lumber in North Tonawanda and at Kittinger Furniture Co., Buffalo.

Hager had lived in Lockport for about five years.

His wife, the former Augusta Haase, died in 1977.

Survivors include two daughters, Marie Coutts of Parrish, Fla., and Dorothy Zimmerman; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, with burial in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
