HARD TO SEE THE KIDS FOR THE CLOTHES

Saffire Gonzalez, 7, helps his sister, Shiquanza Davis, 5, with her scarf as they prepare for an outing Saturday on Louisiana Street. With a high of only 15 degrees, at 3:35 p.m., and a low of zero at 8:06 a.m., the weather was worthy of extra precautions like scarves and hoods. The National Weather Service says today should be a bit warmer, with a high of 25 to 30 degrees. A little light snow during the day and periods of snow tonight are forecast.
