DOROTHY ELLEN HALL

Dorothy Ellen Hall, 90, formerly of Orchard Park and a resident of Schenectady since 1994, died Friday (Jan. 21, 2000) in Kingsway Arms Nursing Center, Schenectady.

Born in Lyons, Ga., the former Dorothy Brown graduated from Buffalo State Teachers College in 1930 and the University of Buffalo in 1932. She was a 10-year employee of the Buffalo Schools and was employed for 19 years by the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library, from 1953 to 1972. From 1966 to 1972, she was the head librarian of the Orchard Park Library.

Mrs. Hall was a member of the Orchard Park Query Club and the Hamburg/Orchard Park Chapter of Zonta International, where she served as secretary and president of the chapter. She enjoyed reading, especially mysteries and historical fiction.

She married Roswell A. Hall in 1937. He died in 1984.

Mrs. Hall is survived by two sons, Jeffrey M. of Albany and Kenneth R. of Shortsville, and a granddaughter.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
