The Olean Urban Renewal Agency will advertise for bids to grade and level an 11-acre site it owns south of the Cattaraugus County Office Building's parking lot on Constitution Avenue.

Agency Director John Sayegh said the job of preparing the property for development by potential buyers is estimated to cost around $40,000.

The agency's board met last week and signaled the go-ahead to seek bids from contractors in the event that a buyer can be found for the land.

The board also authorized payment of Mark Alianello's $2,000 invoice for his preparations for the bid process and an engineering investigation of the parcel's topography.
