Julia A. Potter, 91, died Thursday (Jan. 20, 2000) in Inter-Community Memorial Hospital, Newfane.

She was born in Star Junction, Pa., on Nov. 30, 1908. She married Albert Potter on Aug. 2, 1935 in Chicago. He died in 1982.

In 1943, they moved to Barker from Buffalo. Mrs. Potter worked as a supervisor in the Barker Central School cafeteria for 20 years, retiring in 1959.

She was a member of the West Somerset Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching.

She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Gardner of Lyons; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Bernard G. Potter.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Faith United Methodist Church, 1449 Quaker Road, Barker. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery. [A. JONES]
