Jacob Hager, 97, a former cabinetmaker, died Wednesday (Jan. 19, 2000) in Lockport Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Hager was born in Durn-erlheim, Germany.
Upon moving to the United States in the early 1920s, he settled in North Tonawanda. He was employed in that city as a cabinetmaker at Bennett Lumber, and also held a similar job at Kittinger Furniture Co., Buffalo.
His wife, the former Augusta Haase, died in 1977.
Hager moved to the Town of Lockport five years ago.
Survivors include two daughters, Marie Coutts of Parrish, Fla., and Dorothy Zimmerman; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
