A father and daughter were injured when their vehicle slid across Buffalo Avenue and struck a guardrail Friday, Officer Salvatore Paonessa said.
Mark E. Miller, 32, of Pershing Avenue, and his daughter Meagan, 10, were taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. A hospital spokeswoman said the girl was admitted with facial injuries and was to undergo plastic surgery today. The father suffered chest injuries and was expected to be released late Friday night.
Paonessa said the Miller car lost its brakes on the off-ramp of the Niagara Thruway at Buffalo Avenue, slid across Buffalo Avenue, and hit the guardrail. Miller was cited for driving with a suspended license, Paonessa said.
