Two men who claim a motorist tried to cut their car off Friday on the LaSalle Expressway were arrested following an apparent road rage incident, Officer Christopher Lofstrand said.
The men were accused of challenging the motorist, Alfred C. Ciccone of 27th Street, to a fight while driving along the expressway because they said Ciccone almost ran their vehicle off the road, Lofstrand said.
When Ciccone willingly met them in front of 8881 Buffalo Ave., the men threatened him with screwdrivers, and one started to punch and kick him, Lofstrand said.
Richard C. Waszak, 51, and Edward V. Mostkowski, 50, both of 77th Street, were charged with menacing. Mostkowski also was charged with third-degree assault.
