ORANGEMEN REMAIN PERFECT WITH VICTORY

Damone Brown scored nine points during a 21-3 run that bridged the first and second halves as No. 9 Syracuse remained unbeaten with a 90-69 rout of Hartford (2-6).

Brown (Seneca) finished with 15 points to lead four players in double figures for the Orangemen (9-0).

Mark Madsen returned after missing eight games with a hamstring injury and had eight points, eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 21 minutes as No. 1 Stanford (10-0) made a school record-tying 15 three-pointers in a 119-60 demolition of visiting New Hampshire (1-8).

Michael Redd scored 19 points and Ken Johnson blocked eight shots as No. 15 Ohio State (8-2) rolled to a 79-43 victory over visiting American University (5-5).

Robert O'Kelley scored seven of his 17 points in the second overtime as No. 19 Wake Forest (9-2) endured for an 84-78 victory over Ohio University (7-5) in the consolation round of the Rainbow Classic in Honolulu.

Jon Bryant scored 12 points to lead a balanced attack as Wisconsin (8-4) took a 62-44 win at No. 17 Temple (6-3), despite 25 points by Quincy Wadley of the Owls. Temple was without point guard Pepe Sanchez, who sprained his ankle in the season opener, and forward Mark Karcher, who sprained his shoulder earlier this week. Wisconsin (8-4) was 9-for-24 from three-point range -- Bryant made four of them -- with both figures season highs.

Trevor Huffman hit two three-point baskets in the final 1:54 against Texas-El Paso to help Kent defeat the host Miners, 90-80, in the championship game of the 39th Annual Sierra Providence Sun Classic.
