Cattaraugus County Judge Larry M. Himelein will administer oaths of office Saturday to newly elected government officials from around the county.

Richard Stevenson, chairman of the Cattaraugus County Democratic Committee, which is sponsoring the event, said ceremonies begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Dudley Motor Inn.

Democrats elected to county, city and town offices have been invited.

Also to be sworn in are officials from the City of Salamanca -- including Mayor Carmen Vecchiarella, aldermen James Mongillo and Lana Riley, who are Democrats, and William Ferguson and Stephen Montgomery who are Republicans.

Brunch, at a cost of about $8 per person, will be available following the ceremony. Stevenson said the event is open to the public.
