New Clothes (EP)
Prolific songwriter Greg Klyma has put together a demo EP in anticipation of a full-length release. It's a brief, but solid indication of what to expect through this storyteller's witty and vulnerable outlook on life. "I don't go out much, I haven't been feeling very pretty," he sings through the quiet folk of the title track. "Only Blue" is a lively charmer. The lyrics could be Klyma's side of a conversation to win the heart of a kindred spirit: "Look at me trying to talk real tough ... My life's kinda plain, could use a woman's touch." They're simple words that cut right to the heart. He gives the gritty road song "Diesel Taxi Boogie" a nice folk-blues touch. Can't wait to hear more.
