Proposed improvements to Akron Airport will be the subject of a public information meeting, according to representatives of Passero Associates of Rochester.

The improvements are designed to address noise and safety issues and meet Federal Aviation Administration design standards. A meeting date has yet to be set.

The airport, 1 1/2 miles north of Route 5 in the Town of Newstead, is the target of complaints from neighbors who say it is a poor location for a facility designated as a "reliever" airport.

A meeting date has not been set.
