A West Valley man suffered minor injuries Tuesday in a two-car collision on Route 240 in the Town of Ashford.
Robert S. Roth, 34, was taken to Betrand Chaffee Hospital for a minor sprain to his wrist, according to Cattaraugus County sheriff's deputies. He was released after treatment.
Deputies said Roth was traveling south on Route 240 when a northbound car driven by Jacqueline M. Cretacci, 45, of Springville, crossed the center line into oncoming traffic. Cretacci was trying to round a sharp curve just before the accident.
The collision caused severe front-end damage to both cars, requiring both to be towed from the scene, deputies said.
Cretacci was issued a traffic ticket for making an unsafe lane change, deputies said.
