Mayor-elect Samuel A. Teresi has announced his office staff for the coming year.
Dunkirk native Lori Mrowka was appointed executive assistant, and Karen Stevens, a native of the city, was named secretary and office manager.
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Mrowka most recently helped organize the first annual Chautauqua County Community Summit Series with County Executive Mark Thomas. In addition, Teresi said, she previously served as a staff member for U.S. Reps. Tim Roemer of Indiana and Bob Borski of Pennsylvania, and Assemblyman Sam Hoyt of Buffalo.
Stevens is a graduate of Alfred State College, and began working for the city in 1972. Most recently, she has been a secretary in the Department of Development, which Teresi directed for nearly 12 years before running for mayor.
Teresi last week announced the appointment of seven members of his administration. Those appointments are subject to confirmation by the City Council.
