A HOME WITH SOME HISTORY

There's something about Dylan McDermott's new $4 million home that just seems to attract TV and movie people.

The 37-year-old star of television's "The Practice" recently bought the four-bedroom, 4,000-square foot Brentwood house from movie couple Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas, who bought it three years ago from actress Michelle Pfeiffer.

The Spanish-style house, built in the 1920s, was recently remodeled and has a courtyard and fountain, a pool and spa, library and three fireplaces.

Griffith and Banderas, meanwhile, have moved to a nine-bedroom, 15,000-square-foot Mediterranean-style house in Hancock Park with a ballroom, greenhouse, motor court and two laundry rooms. They eliminated some of the bedrooms to create a music studio, sauna and gymnasium.

Pfeiffer, who rented the Brentwood home to them for a year before selling it, is the wife of David E. Kelley, creator of McDermott's hit show.
