Harry Carl Kuberka, a retired mechanical engineer for Worthington Compressors of Buffalo, died Sunday (Dec. 26, 1999) in his home in West Seneca after a long battle with cancer. He was 75.
Born in Buffalo, Kuberka was a graduate of the former Erie County Technical Institute. He was employed at Worthington for 43 years before he retired in 1985.
He and his wife, the former Millie M. Tobolski, have lived in West Seneca for 46 years. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family gathering in Toronto, followed by a trip to Poland in August 1996. They were married Aug. 11, 1945.
Kuberka was a member of the Worthington Foreman's Club and Junior Achievement.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 4220 Seneca St., West Seneca. Prayers will be said at 8:30 in Curtin Funeral Home, 1340 Union Road, West Seneca, followed by entombment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
In addition to his wife, Kuberka is survived by three daughters, Barbara Treseder of Grapevine, Texas, Karen Brader of Toledo, Ohio, and Deborah Mahoney of Mansfield, Texas; a brother, Norbert of Amherst; and five grandchildren.
