FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS: Daily in downtown Niagara Falls. Outdoor light displays from 5 to 11 p.m. A laser light show from 3 to 10 p.m., the World of Animation from 3 to 9 p.m. and a magic show at 6:30 and 8 p.m., all in the Niagara Office Building, 345 Third St.; entertainment in the Wintergarden on Old Falls Street. Also skating in the Centennial ice rink, noon to 9 p.m. in Lackey Plaza. The festival ends and is closed on Saturday (New Year's Day.)

THE YOUTH PROGRAM: A group for young people to learn about drug and alcohol prevention, recovery and dependency, the Dale Association, 33 Ontario St., Lockport. 7 to 8:30 p.m.

FREE CLINIC: Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic, Human Resources Building, 10th and Falls streets, Niagara Falls. 1:30 to 5 p.m. Continues Thursday.

KWANZAA: First annual communitywide celebration sponsored by the Niagara Falls Faith Based Collaboration with fireworks at the Niagara Falls Convention Center, 305 Fourth St. 6 p.m. Activities continue throughout the week.

ART SHOW: A collection of watercolors with paintings by Western New York artists, in the Kenan Gallery, 433 Locust St., Lockport. 2 to 5 p.m. Continues on Tuesday and Wednesday.

KWANZAA: Maulana Karenga, the Father of Kwanzaa will sign his books and conduct a youth workshop in the Niagara Falls Housing Authority and Resource Center, 3001 Ninth St. 2 to 4 p.m. Activities continue throughout the week.

CLASS: The Niagara Falls Chapter of the American Red Cross will offer a two-day course, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) for the Professional Rescuer, in its office, 719 Ashland Ave., Niagara Falls. The cost is $60 for first-time students and $46 for those renewing their skills. Contact the Health and Safety office to register at 285-6938. 6 to 10 p.m. continues Wednesday.
