Town of Tonawanda residents are advised not to include Christmas wrappings with their paper for recycling.

That includes bows, tags and foils, as well as wrapping paper.

"The colored paper would contaminate any load of paper that is recyclable, and the foil bows and ribbons are not able to be recycled," Town Highway Superintendent John G. Hedges said late last week. "We ask that all Christmas wrappings be disposed of with regular household garbage."
