Brenda LaDon Baumeister of Charles Town, W.Va., formerly of Wellsville, died Friday (Dec. 24, 1999) at home under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle. She was 60.
Born Brenda Gorton in Cuero, Texas, she graduated from Pattie Weldon High School in Victoria, Texas.
Mrs. Baumeister lived in Wellsville her entire adult life and was a self-employed beautician. She and her family moved to West Virginia this year.
She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Charles Town, a former member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wellsville and a member of the Mercy Association of Wellsville. She was also a member of the Lioness Club in Wellsville.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Ronald P.; five daughters, Michelle D. Diaz of Millville, W.Va., Melanie M. Baumeister of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Donna M. Mortimer, Jesse L. and Nicole M., all of of Middleway, W.Va.; a son, Michael E. of Manassas, Va.; two sisters, Sandra Gorton-Breech of Victoria, Texas, and Janet Wise of Port LaVaca, Texas; and three grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. James Church, 311 S. George St., Charles Town. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Harpers Ferry, W.Va.
