Two 14-year-old boys face criminal mischief charges for an alleged graffiti spree early on Dec. 5 in the Pine Avenue business district, Juvenile Investigator Daniel Jones said Saturday.

The boys, whose case has been referred to Niagara County Family Court, are accused of writing letters and some allegedly obscene drawings with a permanent marker on the outside of the Pine Pharmacy, 2316 Pine Ave.; Cancemi Furniture, 2525 Pine Ave.; on the giant pink elephant in front of Honey's Pizza, 2626 Pine Ave.; and two other business, Jones said.

Officer Brian DalPorto said the charges were lodged when he was able to positively identify the two suspects after they showed up on a tape from the Pine Pharmacy's outside surveillance camera.

Jones said two other suspects may be involved, and the investigation is continuing.
