THIEVES TAKE $6,700 AT FISH SHOP

About $6,700 in cash, as well as lobster and shrimp, were stolen overnight Wednesday during a break-in at the Mang Fish Market, 8813 Mang Ave., Officer James Conte said.

Police said a window was broken and $3,000 taken from an office and $150 from the store's cash register. Four 20-pound boxes of lobster tails and 43 pounds of cooked jumbo shrimp also were stolen. The lobster tails were valued at $2,556 and the shrimp $944, Conte said.
