The Target stores have donated three Christmas trees to be given to local families who lost their homes in fires, the Greater Buffalo chapter of the American Red Cross reported Thursday. The trees were delivered to the families Thursday, along with toys donated to the Buffalo News Neediest Fund.

The Red Cross noted, since that the incidence of fires is higher than usual between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day, the chapter needs more donations during this season to help homeless families.
