Pearl B. Cieslik, 73, who was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Polish National Catholic Church, died Thursday (Dec. 23, 1999) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston. She had undergone surgery on Monday for a brain tumor.
The former Pearl Mietlicki was born in Niagara Falls and attended local schools.
Mrs. Cieslik enjoyed bingo, card playing and crocheting.
Before she died, family members said, she wished them a merry Christmas and happy new year and said she regretted she would be spending time with them only in spirit.
Survivors include her husband, Walter "Scotty"; three daughters, Christiana Sheley, Karlene Cieslik and Helen Reynolds; seven sisters, Helen Stopa of Sanborn, Delores Meller and Betty Stynes-Zetell, both of Belleview, Fla., and Mary Luzak-Nesbitt, Lottie Luzak, Irene Ohol-Schlegel and Natalie Gaul-Gornicki; four brothers, Edward of Falling Waters, W. Va., Frank of Gasport, Henry of Lockport and Richard; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
